Where to Go / What to Do in Valladolid

The beautiful Sultaness of the Orient, as it is also known, is a peaceful colonial town where you can enjoy a walk through the zocalo, a visit to the Cathedral or the former convent of San Bernardino, the Temple of San Juan de Dios and the Municipal Palace, for later resting under the shade of a laurel at the plaza or Central Park.

Located between two cenotes of natural fresh water, the ancient Maya city of Zaci is currently a very busy tourist town, so you will find along the streets abundant regional crafts. Also, don't forget to visit the two fresh water deposits, especially Cenote Zaci, which has been turned into a public swimming pool and has an excellent restaurant of Yucatan cuisine.
